How it works
Your spa heats when electricity is cheap
A spa is a big, insulated tank of hot water. It can hold its heat for hours. And electricity doesn't cost the same around the clock.
4Power puts those two things together: we heat the water in the cheap hours, let the spa run on stored heat when prices peak, and keep it within the limits you have set yourself.

What do you save?
With the electricity prices we see right now, typically between 3 and 6 kroner a day. That is roughly 100 to 180 kroner a month.
The number follows the electricity price. The bigger the gap between night and afternoon, the more there is to gain, so a calm summer week yields less than a windy winter week.
SpaControl costs 995 kroner. If the savings hold that level, it has paid for itself within a year.

Step 1
The spa measures itself
Water temperature, heater, pump and consumption. HydroBrain has a built-in electricity meter and reports every minute, standby included.
Step 2
We build a model of your exact spa
How fast it loses heat, how much wind and weather matter, and how many kilowatt-hours it takes to raise the water one degree. The model is built on your spa's own measurements and is recalculated from scratch every day.
Step 3
We fetch tomorrow's prices and weather forecast
The spot price for your price area plus your grid company's tariff, taxes and VAT. In other words, the price on your bill, not the raw market price.
Step 4
We compute the cheapest path through the next day
The spa gets a plan for every quarter hour. It runs the rest itself, even if the internet goes down.
You are still in charge
Ready time
Tell it when the water should be hot – Friday at 8 pm, or every Saturday morning. The plan works backwards from that time and buys the heat in the cheapest quarter hours before it. The last half hour always has heat on.
Rest mode
When you're away, the spa lowers the temperature and is allowed to drift far more. That is where the biggest savings are. As a ready time approaches, rest mode switches itself off in good time.
Safety lives in the spa, not in the cloud
The controller has the final say. It never heats above 40 degrees, and if it hasn't received a fresh plan for a day, it carries on as a perfectly ordinary thermostat.
