SpaControl is built for spas with a controller from Balboa's BP series and plugs into the controller's display port. If your spa has a different controller, e.g. Gecko or an older Balboa series, SpaControl cannot be used. Unsure? No Balboa CMS or WiFi module needed

SpaControl plugs straight into the BP controller's display port and has WiFi built in. You need neither Balboa's ControlMySpa (CMS) nor a separate WiFi module, and you keep your existing display.

Learns your spa

No two spas are alike. Using machine learning, SpaControl builds a thermal model of your spa: how fast it heats, how fast it loses heat, and how the weather affects it. From that model it predicts precisely when heating is cheapest. Allow 1-2 weeks before the optimisation is fully accurate – from day one it still follows electricity prices.

Home Assistant integration

SpaControl integrates with Home Assistant through 4Power Cloud. Install the integration via HACS by adding 4Power's repository as a custom repository. You can then read status and temperature in Home Assistant and use the spa in your own automations.

Water quality with Blue Connect

If you have a Blue Connect water monitor, it connects to SpaControl over Bluetooth, so pH, redox (ORP) and water temperature appear in the 4Power app. You get a notification when the water needs attention. Dosing stays manual – SpaControl does not dose. Readings are for guidance only – 4Power takes no responsibility for their accuracy.

Scheduling: ready when you are

Set a single ready-by time, e.g. "ready Saturday at 6 pm", or a weekly schedule. The optimisation works backwards and heats in the cheapest hours before, so the spa is ready when you want it.
